Costume made by me. Umah is one of my favourite characters from the Legacy of Kain series, and she's one of my favourite costumes to wear to a convention IF I'm feeling confident enough. I had to change a few of the details this time around, such as a new wig/ponytail, and some new boots. I quite liked the new version. I still feel this photo needs more blood!
For a brief description for those unfamiliar with the series:
Character: Umah Cosplayer: Myself (xChelsea-Daggerx) Series: Blood Omen 2: Legacy of Kain (videogame) Photographer: Vicky Ovel Shoulder Guard: Made by Simon (Iceni Militaria A.K.A Hanger #39) www.icenimilitaria.co.uk/
Thank you I took reference from cover art for the xbox, hence the reason why mine is such a dark shade of purple: [link] But unfortunately, the end result isn't as detailed ^^ It's a shame that LOK cosplay is rare at local conventions.
Yeah it's was great! Otherwise the outfit couldn't have been made atal. The weapons I have comissioned are all made out of MDF wood if that helps. I always try and get the difficult parts done first. Unfortunately they don't reeeeally deal online which is a shame Sewing can be a b*tch when you're not familiar with it. But I know nothing about foam >< Maybe about carving space foam, but that's about it X'D
I was contemplating going as Ariel once (you know, back when I was a blonde) but either got lazy or couldn't find the clothes I would need for the costume.I wonder if anybody at the con would've known who I was if I went as her though. lol
Heh, I just had to double check on your dA page. The "back when I was blonde" confused me (What? Isn't she not blonde?? *looks again* Ohhhh!) It's difficult if you don't sew (do you sew??). It would just be a case of buying the right sewing pattern and making it with your choice fabric. However, the whole process just takes forever. I understand what you mean by not being recognised. It's dissapointing when noone knows who you are especially if you love the character and put so much effort into the project. I do think you would suit her. You'd only need to buy one of those blonde kanekalon fibre wigs on ebay because there are tons to choose from. Psst, red hair really suits you!
Yes it was ^^ Unfortunately they were a little bit faded in some photos (needs to do an extra layer of black in the future!) But they were really awkrard to draw on :S I had to get someone to help me X'D
